Fred and Sue were so excited to become great uncle and aunt to our son Bryce. They visited us and loved to interact with him. During one visit, I remember a long walk through the desert chatting with Fred, while trying to get Bryce to take a nap in the stroller. They told us they were part of the “Grandparents without Grandchildren Club”. I knew they would make amazing grandparents one day and it breaks my heart that Fred is no longer with us to see whatever the future may bring. During visits with Fred while he was sick, he carved out special time to spend with Bryce. Fred’s love of children was evident. He was funny and loving, but also laid down the law when needed. Thank you for being a wonderful role model. We miss you!
