Absolutely heartbroken and devastated to learn that we lost brother Fred Pecker.
Fred was a dear friend and a warrior for justice. While we’d walked many picket lines together, it wasn’t until the Campaign for Sustainable Recycling that I got to work closely with Fred. His commitment to new organizing and to following, honoring and uplifting the leadership of immigrant women waste workers was everything. Thank you Fred – for your vision, your leadership, your humility, your service. Rest easy, brother.
